CFB TOP 25Google search FBS Top 25 or CFB top 25 and click on images, which is how I found the picture above still ranked first by Google images for FBS Top 25 and still up at the top for FBS Top 25. You know what they say, if you can't beat them, maybe you should think about joining them? The College Football Today CFB Top 25 for week 10 has been updated and it sure was a crazy Halloween weekend. First off, I understand how some people might not understand the complexity of how top 25 rankings work at College Football Today and that is completely understandable. The fans, media and coaching staffs always think their team is better than another, simply because of the tribalism that the sport of American football thrives off of. In conducting top 25 rankings the last three seasons, I only use fact based evidence that is clearly identifiable to the bipartisan human mind. I try my absolute best to do the same with top football recruit rankings and have lost some friends along way, who think that their kid is better than another. My main intentions was to provide every football recruit a chance to get seen by every college football team in the nation and that mission has been well served, from the class of 2016 up until the Class of 2025. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter what I think or believe. College coaches will offer the players they believe best fit their program and offensive or defensive system. The majority of top 25's are based off a collective opinion of sports writers, coaches and the CFB Playoff committee, which I have learned can be swayed by making a legitimate case that cannot be denied factually. This also goes for recruits, but we will get into that at another time, as most recruit rankings are 100% opinion based by people that never played or coached in the game of American football. But let's divulge into the new College Football Today Week 10 Top 25 and justify our rankings for week 10.
In the week 10 CFB top 25 rankings, I still have Alabama as the number one team in the nation and a good friend of mine called and said they actually mentioned our top 25 during the Alabama game. Maybe they were hearing things or maybe it's true, I am not positive as I had my eyes fixated on the Ohio State vs Penn State match-up. The Alabama Crimson-Tide were able to post a shutout on Coach Saban's birthday and simply manhandled the Mississippi State Bulldogs for four straight quarters. Ever since allowing 48 points to the Lane Kiffin led Ole Miss Rebels, the Alabama defense has had an awakening and has only allowed 41 points in their last three SEC contests. Losing a potential NFL 1st round pick in Jaylen Waddle, certainly made people question whether or not the Crimson-Tide offense could sustain their dominance and it hasn't seemed to slow them down a bit. Alabama was able to light up the scoreboard for 48 points against a very good Vols team and scored 41 points in yesterday's thrashing of the Mississippi State bulldogs. The Crimson-Tide are running full-throttle offensively with Mac Jones leading the way and are getting back to pounding the rock with Najee Harris, who is virtually unstoppable once he gets motoring downhill. They finish the season against LSU, Kentucky, Auburn and Arkansas, in which they will be heavily favored to win all four games heading into the SEC Championship game. As we have seen this season, anything can happen any given Saturday and major upsets have taken place every week thus far of the 2020 college football season, but I like their chances moving forward. In recent recruiting news, the Alabama Crimson-Tide offered number one overall 2022 football recruit Myles Rowser! Which had nothing to do with why they are ranked number one in our CFB Top 25 at College Football Today. Which brings me to the Clemson Tigers and why we ranked them number two in our week 10 College Football Top 25. Who have also began recruitment of Top 2022 OT recruit Hunter Moss and Top 2024 football recruits RB Jordan Triplett, as well as Top 2024 LB recruit Keith Hodge Jr. Both teams set the standard in college football recruiting year in and year out, as they normally reign at the top of team recruiting rankings in each respective class. College FB Top 25 After the Ole Miss game Alabama had fallen to number three in the college FB top 25 and I had major questions about their defensive production. Given the fact that Lane Kiffin is a very intelligent offensive football mind, he simply was able to find the weaknesses in the Crimson-Tide defense and exploit them. Those weaknesses have clearly been addressed and the Bama defense is once again the best in the nation. The fact of the matter is Alabama has beaten two top 10 opponents handily in Texas A&M and Georgia, who have proved to be two of the best teams in all of College Football Today. Clemson destroyed the Top 25 Miami Hurricanes, who are fully relying on D'Eriq King for their offensive output and both quarterbacks appeared to struggle to push the ball downfield in the wet conditions in Death Valley. Clemson went to their workhorse back and the best running back in the nation Travis Etienne, as well as the short passing game to dismantle the Canes defense. Coach Venables arguably will go in the history books as the best defensive coordinator in the history of college football, as his game-plans are second to none when it comes to neutralizing a star-studded dual-threat quarterback. But this is Clemson's only top 25 win of the season thus far and they have been tested by ACC opponents Virginia, Syracuse and escaped with a 6 point win over Boston College. I agree 100% with Coach Dabo Swinney, as a win is a win and it is not easy reigning victorious week in and week out like the Tigers have done consistently. So we must give them credit for finding ways to get the job accomplished, even when their star 1st RD NFL Draft pick QB Trevor Lawrence is sidelined due to Covid-19. If the Clemson Tigers come out in the first half against Notre Dame sluggish like they did against Boston College, they could have trouble finishing the job against the very talented Fighting Irish. It is really heartbreaking that Trevor Lawrence will not be able to play against Notre Dame, as I pray he clears Covid-19 protocol and has an epic finish to the 2020 college football season. The ACC has proven to be much more competitive than in years past, as Virginia was able to topple top 25 North Carolina and has made Clemson's schedule look more competitive than the records actually show. Even Boston College has proven to be a team that is tough to beat, as their only losses on the 2020 season came to the hands of North Carolina and Virginia Tech. But, the SEC and BIG 10 still appear to be the best football conferences from top to bottom, which brings me to the third ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. The CFB Today Top 25 has featured Ohio State ranked number three in the nation since we added the Big 10 teams back to the FBS Top 25. We also inserted teams like Marshall and Coastal Carolina into the CFB Today top 25 back on 9/19/2020 and those teams remain undefeated in the 2020 college football season. I Tweeted yesterday that Coach Ryan Day calls the offensive plays for the Buckeyes and that he was under the tutelage or Urban Meyer & Chip Kelly, as well as was a former collegiate QB at the University of New Hampshire. This wealth of experience is now on full display with one of the most talented teams in the world of College Football Today and Justin Fields has been magnificent throughout his career as an Ohio State Buckeye. Through the first two games of the 2020 college football season, Justin Fields is 48 for 55 passing and has thrown for 594 yards, while not having thrown an interception and has hurled 6 touchdowns. His QB rating through the first two Buckeyes victories is an enamoring 218.4 and he is the best quarterback I have seen on tape for the 2021 NFL Draft. Last season, Fields finished the year with 3,273 yards and was able to toss 41 TD's, while only throwing 3 interceptions on the season and finished the year with a 181.4 QB rating. With that being said, I am more impressed with the offensive balance the Buckeyes have demonstrated and the variety of offensive sets that they are using to confuse defenses, while creating mismatches or wide open receivers down field. The powerful running combination of Master Teague and Trey Sermon, has proven to be able to take over a game and leave gaping holes in the defense when utilizing the play-action pass. Justin Fields is also a threat on the ground, but always looks to distribute the football to his play-makers in a timely manner and looks extremely confident behind center for the Ohio State offense. They were able to defeat Nebraska by a score of 52-17 and went into Happy Valley to defeat an extremely talented Penn State by a score of 38 to 25. Penn State proved to be an elite Big Ten football team in my opinion, after losing to Indiana in Bloomington on a last second controversial touchdown. They were competitive from start to finish, but the Ohio State Buckeyes simply had too many weapons offensively and could not be slowed down. The Buckeyes defense has also been impressive and is able to create turnovers, which is able to give Ohio State's highly potent offense more possessions in a span of four quarters. The Buckeyes remaining schedule features Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State and they end the season at home against their arch nemesis the Michigan Wolverines. They will have to be fully ready to play week in and week out, as the Big 10 conference appears to be stacked this season from top to bottom. Top 25 Indiana will have to travel to Columbus, Ohio, which should be a very exciting and competitive Big 10 football match-up and Michigan State just beat Michigan, so this game could be closely contested as well. Ohio State's former defensive coordinator Greg Schiano is once again leading the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, so he will also have his team well prepared to play the juggernaut that is Ohio State football. Ohio State has also shown interest in many top football recruits and you can find many of them in the football recruitment database by visiting ScoutTrout.com. The Clemson vs Notre Dame game is arguably the biggest game of the 2020-2021 college football season and the Tigers will have to travel to South Bend, Indiana without star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Much like Clemson, Notre Dame has found a way to win very close games throughout the 2020 college football season, but a win is a win. They have looked stronger as the season has moved along and are also a very balanced football team on both sides of the football. Notre Dame will have to play a flawless football game offensively and take care of the football for four quarters. They will have to find ways to exploit the Tigers defense led by arguably the best defensive coordinator in the history of College Football and find a way to slow down the best running back in the nation Travis Etienne. Back on October 7th, 2018, I predicted that Notre Dame would make it into the CFB Playoff and that prediction held true. They then went on to get completely ran off the field by the Clemson Tigers in the CFB playoff Semi-Finals and my prediction was mainly based off the remaining schedule they had to finish the 2018-2019 season. Brian Kelly and the Fighting-Irish have been patiently waiting for almost two years for a rematch with Clemson, after getting embarrassed on National TV. The 2020 Notre Dame team features a much more potent running attack with Kyren Williams and Ian Book is an outstanding play-maker in his own right. The main question is, are they fully prepared to make another CFB Playoff run or will they once again fall to the mighty Tigers of Clemson? NFL DRAFT PROSPECT RANKINGSBefore I complete and update the rest of the NFL Draft Prospect rankings, I wouldn't to congratulate Baker Mayfield for beating the Pittsburgh Squealers in the Wild Card NFL Playoff game yesterday. I also wanted to jump back to August 11th, 2018 and tell Colin Cowherd that he is a pompous pig that shouldn't be on air with as much as that man actually knows about sports in general. In today's sports media climate, boisterous and loudly obnoxious idiots like Cowherd can sell to listeners who don't typically know the game of American football. This sad fact has led to people like Cowherd and others, to become famous being nothing but clowns that couldn't see what guys like Baker Mayfield were fully capable of. Take a look at Clown Cowherd's statements below. "It is said "Football is a game of inches", when in reality it is a game of tenth's of a second. - Scout Trout BAKER MAYFIELD COLIN COWHERD After the 2018 NFL Draft, Baker Mayfield was belittled by Colin Cowherd, who i refer to as the pompous clown pig of the media sports world. I defended Baker, which at the time was read by a good 2 million people and I have never gone back to check the analytics on it, but if guys like Cowherd just left the sports media scene, I believe the world would be a better place. What makes guys like Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Fran Tarkenton, Michael Vick and Doug Flutie extremely hard to sack? Well, they all have or had extremely quick releases when they decide to let go of the football and all of them were known for being great athletes, while improvising with uncanny results. If you ask any defensive linemen, they would rather tee off on a 6'7 Osweiler, rather than a very mobile Baker Mayfield. I really think ESPN decided to leave all the boisterous clowns on board and got rid of guys who reported the facts like Brett McMurphy. Baker Mayfield actually looked extremely good if you know quarterback play and was able to deliver darts downfield accurately, even when having to get to his 2nd or 3rd reads. Most of his passes that were not caught were a timing issue with his receiver and or just through their hands, as seen on the wide receiver screen pass in his first preseason contest against the New York Giants. When watching Baker escape the collapsing pocket to pick up critical first downs, I am reminded of the great escape artist Doug Flutie. When I witness Baker Mayfield deal the ball quickly out of the pocket, I am reminded of Drew Brees. He has great athletics at the QB position, but is not a run first QB, as we seen in the game against the Giants. He will let the play develop and has a outstanding football IQ when it comes to play concepts and where, when and how to deliver the football to his targets. Baker was coached under one of the best QB coaches in all of college football in Lincoln Riley and can complete passes based off of reading the defensive coverage or manipulate you with one on one match-ups. This is why the Browns made an outstanding first round draft pick and for once, have two outstanding quarterbacks heading into the 2018 NFL season. The fraction of a second timed in the 40 yard dash is crucial to where a prospect lands in the draft. Avoiding pressure comes at the same cost when evaluating QB's. A Fraction to late, the ball is intercepted, a split second early and it is 6 points. Adding to this further, with the increase in speed off the edge we have witnessed, it also avoids sacks or getting blasted at the QB position.
NUMBER ONE 2022 QB RECRUITThompson High School's QB Conner Harrell has risen to become the number one 2022 QB recruit in the world of College Football Today & has earned 31 D1-Offers since his initial entrance into the S.T.E.P ratings pipeline recruiting program on March 12th, 2020. Conner has narrowed his list down to his top ten school's, which are TCU, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Duke, Northwestern, Louisiana-Lafeyette, Liberty, Nebraska, Indiana & West Virginia. Harrell's impeccable delivery and evasiveness in the pocket was compared to the Chicago Bears 1st RD NFL Draft pick Justin Fields by over a dozen executives across the National Football League. His verified 4.5,40 speed makes him a top tier dual-threat QB recruit, but much like the number one S.T.E.P rated QB in the 2021 NFL Draft, looks to get the football into his play-makers hands first, while delivering one of the most catch-able darts in the 2022 FB recruiting class. Check out Conner's Top 2022 QB recruit scouting profile by clicking HERE and view the former Ohio State QB's 2021 NFL Draft QB scouting report on the 2021 NFL Draft QB prospects page by clicking HERE!
Previous report written on March 12th, 2020 - Before Harrell had taken a snap at the Varsity level at Thompson HS in Alabama. Dual-QB Conner Harrell Class of 2022 Thompson HS (AL) 6'1,190LBS GPA - 4.5 ACT - 23 Player Notes - Conner Harrell will be the next big time QB to come out of Thompson HS in Alabama and has one of the strongest arms I have seen in the 2022 recruiting class. This does not come to much surprise, as Harrell utilizes Mr.Tagovailoa as his Quarterbacks coach. When you watch how sound Harrell is mechanically in his delivery and how extremely well he uses his body to zip the ball downfield, you begin to see his next level coaching paying off. Harrell has now earned 26 D1 football offers after being ranked the number one overall quarterback recruit on College Football Today RokFin and will be looking to replicate one of the greatest HS footballs seasons of all-time, as he is preparing diligently to lead Thompson back to yet another Alabama HS football State Championship. Top 2022 football recruit Dual-QB Conner Harrell has been awaiting his turn patiently at Thompson HS in Alabama, as he has a very advanced skill-set that will translate to an epic career in Alabama HS football. While having Taulia Tagovailoa at Thompson and Tua in the area, Harrell has persistently trained with the best in the game of American football to become an elite QB who can deliver darts extremely accurately downfield. More importantly, Conner carries a 4.26 GPA and will be one of the more highly touted 2022 QB recruits in the nation at College Football Today. Conner has excellent footwork in his drop and exhibits excellent body weight transition in his delivery, which is clearly visible in his film against Clay-Chalkville TOP DUAL QB RECRUITS Top dual QB recruits at College Football Today all have the ability to take off and gain valuable yardage when a play breaks down. Conner possesses 4.6 speed and is a very athletic quarterback who can make plays when needed with his legs. In my opinion, what is most impressive about Harrell is his ability to throw over the top of the defense with touch and his quick release. He proves to have an extremely strong arm at around :38 seconds into the footage above, as he unleashes the football on a rope down the sideline for a big gain. In the footage below, Harrell shows an innate ability to avoid pressure and work in a college style "RPO" style spread offense, as he eludes the defensive end and delivers a pin point accurate pass on the move. He shows the ability to throw his receiving target open to a spot on a perfectly thrown corner route under pressure and shows all of the traits of a big time 2022 QB recruit for years to come. Top quarterback recruits at Scout Trout Elite can be found in the elite college football scouting database by clicking on the picture below. Most top quarterback recruits today have a personal quarterback coach or outstanding high school coaching, which I believe Conner has the benefit of both. Harrell was trained by Mr.Tagovailoa, who helped mold two world class athletes of his own and is on one of the best high school football teams in the State of Alabama. The College Football Today NFL mock draft 2020 2.0 has Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa going number 5th overall to the Miami Dolphins and many experts also predict he could be picked 3rd overall by the Detroit Lions. After speaking with Miami Dolphins scout Lenny McGill at the 2020 NFL Reese's Senior Bowl, they honestly are praying Tua will be available at 5th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has already been fully cleared medically for his upcoming pro day and has many believing that he could turn any NFL franchise around within a few years. Conner Harrell March 12th, 2020 Report Top 2022 QB recruits scouting database TOP 2022 FB RECRUITSWhen I started evaluating 2022 top football recruits over two years ago, I ran into hundreds of Class of 2022 HS football players that would have ranked highly in the College Football Today 2021 Top 2021 Football recruit rankings. To say that this recruiting class is the best we have encountered yet is an understatement and all of the top ranked 2022 football recruits that were identified the past two NCAA evaluation periods are stacking up offers weekly. Given that football recruit rankings are subjective upon individuals in the sports media world, I think it's only fair to take a glance and see why the College Football Today RokFin recruit rankings became so popular since their inception in 2018. Furthermore, learning how football recruits & NFL Draft prospects are found based off of analytical data provided by football recruiting rankings and services, it's only right to justify things in a professional manner. In knowing that there are over 1 million HS football players in the United States of America, these subjective top football recruit rankings are guaranteed to miss hundreds, if not thousands of players. This is why college coaches and recruiters rely on these systems to remain competitive, as the opinions on the most popular players in the nation based off of analytical opinionated data is easier to rationalize if the top football recruit does not pan out. Let's take a quick look at the CFB Today recruit rankings, compared to the 247 Sports top football recruit rankings. 247 SPORTS TOP 2022 FB RECRUITS247 Sports top 2022 FB recruits obviously isn't going by the amount of offers a top 2022 FB recruit receives and the opinion of the collegiate football recruiting staffs, as their 35th ranked 2022 RB Damari Alston has 52 D1 football offers. As you will see below, Damari Alston has been the number one 2022 RB recruit and the top three have not changed over the past year. The College Football Today top three 2022 RB recruits features 247 Sports number one 2022 RB recruit Jaydon Blue, who I believe is an NFL caliber next level running back and he has 36 D1 offers. Alabama 2022 commit Emmanuel Henderson is the 4th ranked top 2022 RB recruit on College Football Today RokFin and accumulated 17 offers and I believe he is also a next level NFL 2022 RB recruit. Travis Etienne is currently ranked 2nd, after being the number one 2022 RB in the first CFB Today & ESPN Plus 2022 RB recruit rankings and has 23 D1 offers. Given the fact that I was the first to release the 2022, 2023 & 2024 top football recruit rankings and all of my highly ranked recruits are either highly ranked by 247 Sports or have the most offers in their class, I believe the S.T.E.P ratings are obviously on the right track with college recruiting departments nationally.

From astutely analyzing the analyzers, I found that many who are involved with the 247 Sports Composite FB recruit rankings rely on other sources to legitimize their individual recruit rankings. This helped me start to develop the system known as the S.T.E.P ratings and started the formation of the College Football Today & ESPN Plus Top FB recruit rankings. How top RB recruits like 2021 All-American RB Shamar Esbrand-Smith, who dominated in the College Football Today & ESPN Plus All-American Bowl go overlooked is beyond me, but it's something I have become accustom to dealing with recruits very late in the recruiting process after their senior seasons the past 6 years. After analyzing most of this year's and part of next year's NFL Draft classes, you can start to see the diamonds in the rough like the "Four Zero Horsemen" on College Football Today RokFin! College Football Today & ESPN Plus 2021 NFL Draft prospect rankings have been completed for all offensive positions in the 2021 NFL Draft. While watching full game tape of every snap a 2021 NFL Draft prospect played in a game, I found some players that truly are generational NFL Draft prospects and I also found some guys who aren't even close to ready for NFL play. When building the slide-shows, I found the best highlight tape to put up and football mix-tapes for our massive amount of visitors viewing pleasure. However, when watching film on NFL Draft prospects for round one, the film used for evaluation was each prospects full game footage against the best team they played. All game film that was fully analyzed by the proven best American football scout, came from either the 2019-2020 season or the 2020-2021 season and was each NFL Draft prospects most recent full game tape. So, we said weren't going to trash any prospects globally to over 4 million visitors a week and I am sticking to that decision. Many 2021 NFL Draft prospects are still riding the wave from being 5 star recruits out of high school and these so-called NFL Draft experts always mention it, along with talking about upside and potential. Why? Because nothing checks out on game tape and you have to dig deep in the abyss of the ocean's ecosystem to provide any type justification that this prospect should be drafted into the NFL. Most football players can put together a 2-3 minute clip and impress some people, which seems to work for many morons in recruit rankings and fans who want to put on a suit, as their dream in life is to be the next Mel Kiper. The whole system to me has way too many opinions and hardly any experts, which is sad to the deserving athletes that are truly remarkable on and off the field. So let's dive into each position that we have completed in the College Football Today & ESPN Plus 2021 NFL Draft Prospect rankings below. When sports writers decide who the 2022 top FB recruits are in the nation, are they going to put a Alabama, Ohio State or any power five football commit over a 6'1 (maybe) guard committed to Grambling State? Heck no! Will they put a highly rated 2021 NFL Draft OT prospect, who once had one offer to Northern Iowa over a kid with FBS offers? Heck no! Did they miss one of the best 2021 NFL Draft TE prospects in Notre Dame's (D2) Zaire Mitchell? Heck yes! Not all of them are so bad, but for the most part, they will not go digging until the story falls on their desks. I have thousands of more instances that I have discovered through years of studying the recruiting & NFL Draft process, but I am going to save most of them for the coverage of the top football recruits at Scout Trout Elite. Read my scouting report on Top 2021 NFL Draft TE prospect Zaire Mitchell on College Football Today RokFin by clicking HERE! CFB TOP 25The College Football Today CFB top 25 was the most popular page on my deceased step brother CollegeFootballToday.Org, who was able to peg the CFB top 25 two to three weeks ahead of all top 25 rankings for three entire CFB seasons. Check out the CFB week 9 Top 25 analysis, which is also featured on College Football Today RokFin! COLLEGE FB TOP 25 WK 9I expect the College FB top 25 for wk 9 to be a lot of different than the AP top 25 for week 9, as I kinda already know the moves they most likely will be making in their political polling methods. Much like the old NCAA football video game, the program prestige factor seems to hold a lot of weight in the CFB Top 25 polls as well as football recruit rankings. Having mulled through almost 3000 football recruits the past few years, I have watched three star recruits become five star recruits just by committing to a prestigious football program. Many of them from 2018 & 2019 have yet to see the football field and many are some of the best players in College Football Today. It has been 50/50 for the most part as far as production on the field is concerned. I do hold the pollsters in a high regard who have voted week in and week out for the teams we placed in the Top 25 way in advance. These teams like Coastal Carolina, Marshall and Liberty are playing undefeated football and if you study head to head match-ups across the board, they have proven themselves to be top 25 teams. As I look below at the "others receiving votes" in the AP Top 25 last week, I see that many agreed that Liberty should have been in last week, as they were able to garner 37 top 25 AP votes. The quandary of having multiple conferences starting play at separate times of year, I understand can be quite a conundrum and things will change substantially as we move further into the 2020-2021 college football season. I know Memphis beat UCF, who the AP holds in high regard due to their prolific offense, but being able to stop another team from scoring is also a part of the game of American football and executing on Special Teams weekly. Even though I have released articles on many coaches and teams, I did it for the same reason 99% of media channels do it, because it was a trending topic and I happened to know a lot about the history of the greatest coaches in College Football Today. I also have been lucky enough to travel the country and visit many of these amazing college football facilities and Universities. My agenda over the years was solely to help young men get exposure and recruited by these programs and not to get subscriptions, get clicks or sell fan gear. In last week's Top 25, we actually had 24 out of the 25 teams that the AP choose to rank in their Top 25 poll. The Bearcats blew out SMU yesterday and Memphis lost to SMU, so my justification was to give SMU a one game pass and keep them in the FBS top 25 this week, instead of giving Memphis the 24th spot. Oklahoma will be in the AP Top 25 in my opinion, based off the prestige factor and they dismantled a very good TCU football team by a score of 33 to 14. This week, I gave that spot to Kansas State, who beat Oklahoma head to head in Norman after losing to Arkansas State. They have since beaten a very good Texas Tech team, TCU and Kansas, but will have a lot to prove moving forward. I also believe that the AP will possibly add Auburn back to the top 25 and possibly keep Iowa State in, as they lost a closely contested match-up to 6th ranked Oklahoma State by a score of 37-30. Iowa State's other loss came to Louisiana-Lafayette to start the season and Coastal Carolina beat them head to head, as well crushed Arkansas State who beat Kansas State by a score of 52 to 23. In my opinion, Tulsa could also be in the AP top 25 according to the votes last week, but that was before we got to see the likes of Northwestern and other Big Ten conference teams in action. We might even see the Ragin Cajuns back in the AP top 25, but many of the teams listed below lost this week and Indiana was able to topple Top 10 Penn State in dramatic fashion. We both obviously had Penn State ranked too highly and as Steve Levy stated on national television, "The AP will probably keep Penn State in the Top 25, because it's the AP voters". This statement further proves the politics behind how the AP Top 25 works and I believe it is why the College Football Playoff committee exists. After watching Ohio State play against Nebraska today, I don't believe Penn State will beat the Buckeyes and may start the season out 0-2, which doesn't warrant a Top 25 ranking at this juncture of the college football season. Utah Coach Kyle Whittingham boasts a 131-64 record and has the Utes ready to play week in and week out, as it really came down to them in Purdue for the 25th spot in the week 9 College Football Today FBS Top 25. I know Utah has yet to play game, but you guys are doing it, so why can't we? In going by solely the eye test, head to head match-ups and statistics, I couldn't really find a team that I felt comfortable putting in that spot in the week 9 College Football Today FBS Top 25. College Football Top 25 The college football top 25 at College Football Today, has moved Alabama slightly ahead of Clemson at this point in the college football season. Having got to watch each game, I believe Alabama once again has the best defense in the nation and are going back to pounding the football, while setting up their prolific play-action passing attack. I understand they lost arguably their best wide receiver in Jaylen Waddle and we pray for a quick recovery before he either elects to enter the 2021 NFL Draft or returns to Alabama for his senior season. But the offense didn't seem to slow down much without him and the power style running sets Bama used against Georgia and Tennessee, are exactly what is needed to play more ball control offense, while still utilizing play-action to go over the top of the defense for huge chunks of yardage. Alabama Quarterback Mac Jones has proven that he can thread the needle on deep passes down the field and execute the offense extremely efficiently through the first five games of the season. The remainder of the Crimson-Tide's schedule is all games they should win handily, as they play Miss State, LSU, Kentucky, Auburn and Arkansas to finish out 2020 SEC football play. Of course, we have seen some crazy things happen in the Iron Bowl, but ever since the Bama defense woke up after letting up over 50 points to Ole Miss, it appears they are gradually getting better week by week. According to ESPN, Mac Jones has a higher passer rating this season than Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence and when you watch the games, Jones is making much tougher throws down the field, as Lawrence is throwing mostly quick screen passes and letting his play-makers do the rest. This not a knock on Trevor Lawrence, as he is currently one of my highest rated QB's for the 2021 NFL Draft, it is just statistical analysis, as well as the eye test from observing both quarterbacks this season. Both Jones and Lawrence are arguably two of the most pro ready quarterbacks at this juncture of the college football season and we could be seeing them face-off in the national championship down the road. FBS TOP 25 We have had Ohio State ranked 3rd in the College Football Today FBS top 25 for a few weeks now and it's because we believe that Justin Fields is the best overall quarterback in the nation. When you watch his decision making and pin-point accuracy, you cannot deny that he should be the first quarterback taken in the 2021 NFL Draft. It comes as no surprise that he was 20-21 passing against Nebraska and finished the game with a 237.1 rating according to ESPN. We also have watched the NFL move to more mobile quarterbacks and depending on what team is picking, Fields fits the mold of a prolific passing dual-threat QB. Ohio State has stocked ample weapons around him and appears to have one of the best defenses once again in the Big Ten. I had already posted on Facebook days ago, that the Nebraska game would be no contest in Columbus, Ohio. We will see how the Buckeyes fair on the road in Happy Valley, but after watching a very talented Indiana team defeat the Nittany Lions yesterday, I don't think they can handle this Ohio State team in 2020. Ohio State's remaining schedule after departing Happy Valley, features Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan St and Michigan to end the season in Columbus, Ohio. Coach Ryan Day has stated many times that this is the best Buckeyes he has coached and from watching their opening performance, I am 100% sold on the Ohio State football team early in the 2020 college football season. The Michigan Wolverines also played outstanding football in week one and have seemed to solve their issues at the quarterback position with Joe Milton at the helm, but have not been consistent week to week in the past. They have jumped all the way up to the number 9 spot in our FBS week nine top 25, after a 49 to 24 win over Top 25 ranked Minnesota, but will play in State rival Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland and finish the season against Ohio State. This proves to not be an easy schedule, except for Maryland, who Northwestern took to the wood shed and defeated 43-3 at home. After that epic performance by the Wildcats, we had no choice but to put them in this weeks FBS Top 25. After watching the Michigan game, I do believe they could be the only team in the Big 10 that could topple the almighty Buckeyes, but we will have to wait and see how things transpire moving forward. We will see if the Hoosiers can upset Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin, as they have arguably one of the toughest schedules in Big Ten play. I do believe if they in at least one of these games they will remain a Top 25 team at the end of the 2020 college football season. The Boilermakers were able to beat Iowa in their opening game and we could see them enter the top 25, as they play Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Minnesota, Rutgers, Nebraska and Indiana to end the season for the old oaken bucket. AP TOP 25 When the AP top 25 comes out today, I honestly could care less if we have similar top 25 rankings, as this was also created to draw exposure for the outstanding football recruits we find through the world's largest football recruiting network. The sport of College Football has a million statistics, players, coaches and schemes that make it very easy to make a case for one team or another. The same goes for identifying football players as a recruit or for the NFL Draft. In knowing this, I actually do my due diligence and use my 25 years of playing the game of American football to rationalize recruit and top 25 rankings. We honestly never get to see a case from the Associated Press and it's normally because they don't really have one. After they placed Texas in the Top 25 after losing to TCU head to head at home, it all made sense, they stick to what they know and who puts food on their plates. This shouldn't trickle down to the recruiting world, but from conducting national recruit rankings the past few years, it certainly has and it's a major reason why we have seen FCS over FBS upsets, as well as many FCS, D2 and even D3 players getting selected in the NFL Draft. Somethings you can't overcome as a Student-Athlete when the deck is completely stacked against you, so I encourage you to control what you can control and become the best student-athlete you can be on and off the field. No matter what level you play at, you will have the tools to become something that is unstoppable if that is the direction you choose in your daily process. In order to achieve success in the football industry, you must become obsessed with refining your daily habits, goals and most importantly your mind-set. The best athletes I have been lucky enough to play with never cared what anyone else thought about them, they stuck to the core principals they were taught at an early age and were able to build upon that solid foundation. You have the choice to be whatever you wanna be life, but making the sacrifices to get to the mountaintop is never an easy task. FOOTBALL RECRUIT RANKINGS I have been slowly moving the football recruit rankings to RokFin channel, as I now have a very large scope on around 3,000 football recruits from the class of 2021 to 2025. I have never been a fan of football recruit rankings, as any recruit can evolve into a top tier football recruit by the time they get to the college level. Some recruits I have learned develop later in the process and hit growth spurts, learn new techniques or just one day develop the work ethic needed to dominate the opposition. Every NCAA evaluation period, which lasts from April 15th to May 31st I have ranked incoming recruits for free by using the data from over 20,000 recruiting profiles that have come in since Scout Trout Elite LLC started on Thanksgiving of 2016. This time of year is extremely busy in both recruiting, covering college football games and scouting for the upcoming NFL Draft. So, at this point, if you want to join the world's largest network and get ranked, create a recruiitng profile. If not, I will be skimming through them starting April 15th and all the way until May 31st. You can also subscribe to the Rokfin channel after submitting a recruiting profile and I will add your name to the list. In totality, I have completely lost track of the amount of offers that have gone out to recruits ranked through the STEP ratings algorithm and in the recruiting database, which is not a bad thing, but I can't respond to the millions of direct messages, emails and texts to be ranked from players, coaches and parents. I will be checking DM's, emails and voicemails this week, but I have to stick to the process that helped this platform become what it is today. I will be talking more about the recruit rankings on national media networks this week and what I discovered since starting this project after the 2018 Scout Trout All-American Bowl in Mobile, Alabama the weekend of the NFL Reese's Senior Bowl. GREATEST CFB TEAM OF ALL TIMEThe greatest CFB team of all time was predicted months ahead of anyone in the world of sports, by Coach Trout - Owner of Scout Trout Elite. HOW TO BUILD A HOUSEHow to build a house was released by Scout Trout on 6/20/2018 and can also be viewed on College Football RokFin! THE FOUNDATION In construction, we start by digging a hole to pour our foundation. Once the hole is big enough, you put re-bar in to make the foundation even stronger and bond together. The cement truck says it will be there at 1:00 PM, so you are making sure you computed your "rise and run" properly for your steps. You then pour concrete into the hole and start to smooth your foundation out using a "bull-float". This is a grueling and extensive process to do by yourself or with a few people, but hard work tends to look a lot like success in the end. THE FRAME WORK I am sure I am going to miss some steps but the picture will be painted more visibly in more modern day football terms in a minute. Putting up the frame work is just that, your piecing together 2x4's and other cut wood and building your way up! You than our able to run your ELECTRIC AND PLUMBING. THE ELECTRIC AND PLUMBING I have ran wire, but would normally sub-contract that out due to the unknown potential of electrocuting myself. Though installing (NEW/rough) plumbing was always fun to me, it was like a big puzzle that easily linked together and water ran through it! Sounds like Mario and Luigi until you end up "gutting" out beach houses down the jersey shore and poop busts all over your face in a very tight space in the floor. Being covered in excrement kinda changed my perspective on working smarter and not as dirty in life. If all goes right, you will be flushing toilets, doing dishes, washing laundry and watering your lawn in no time! THE INTERIOR DESIGN Well, I missed the sheet rock, I think carrying this stuff is what made me an outstanding linebacker, but we will get into that another day. I also looked like a ghost half of the time or some sort of extremely white creature from another planet when covered in this stuff. It also made me sneeze quite often, but as I said, if you wanna be a great linebacker go pick up panels of sheet-rock and/or toss FULL trusses up to your 5'6 father who you believe might fall off the roof. I guess when your life is at risk, certain instincts kick in or they don't and you're--well--dead and gone. I hate laying and tearing up carpet when these dumb-asses put too many staples in the carpet. It's not going anywhere, it's being stepped on. I could do a novel on laying Tile, as you must make precise cuts using a "wet saw" and use exact calculations to ensure your overall quality. THE ROOF Putting a roof on a house is not an easy task, as I had to work for some of the most knuckle-head roofing contractors of all-time. Maybe they were considered decent in their area in ONE expertise, but I watched the G.O.A.T. Dave Trout do it all, no one even came close. I remember people bothering him, but they were never unsatisfied when the job was complete and usually paid a very high rate for the top end work he did. But tossing those dag gum trusses up to him, built my shoulders into actual concrete, along with carrying "TONS" of busted up concrete. Do I miss it, no. Did I learn something everyday and not even realize it until much further down the road, YES! Carrying bundle, after bundle of shingles cut my skin, hardened my soul in 100 degree weather and turned my legs into actual jackhammers themselves. Now that your roof is on, it's time to BUILD A LIFE in that home. WHAT IS YOUR FOUNDATION?
THE FRAME WORK TO THE NEXT LEVEL
WHAT ARE YOU WIRED FOR? IS YOUR PLUMBING RUNNING DOWN THE RIGHT DRAIN?
DO IT YOURSELF STORM SHELTERScout Trout released the article on how to build a "do it yourself storm shelter" on 3/6/2019 after not seeing eye to eye with the liberal elitist in Washington D.C and was dealing with many hacks, theft, verbal attacks and much more to be discussed down the road of the recreation of College Football Today. Jimmy Dore is a democrat on RokFin & I hear him use that word a lot these days, I would check him out and learn a little more from an expert in the field. (wink) In order to build a "do it yourself storm shelter", you must certainly be anticipating a storm is coming and immediately look for solutions to protect yourself and the loved ones who also will be facing the storm. Once you build a successful house, you must be ready to overcome and conquer storms in your individual path daily in order to succeed at the highest level in sports and in life. I have written many articles on "How to build a house", but that is just one inner lying factor that will always remain the same. But if you are really looking on how to build a storm shelter yourself, normally you want to get to the lowest safest point, as things tornado's and such will pass over. If you are caught out in the actual storm and cannot seek shelter ( I have been in this situation in the mid-west a few times), you head for a ditch, gully or even a lake to avoid being swept up like the Wizard of Oz. These cliche sports lines like "I am the storm" are not going to work for the psychology you need moving forward. Yes, it's cool to think you are a storm, but why would you want to be such a devastating factor that is controlled by nature? As a top football recruit, you shouldn't be looking to create storms, but you should be looking to silence the storms intellectually first and foremost. As I teach daily, your brain controls every action of the human body, so we must always be of sound mind in order to not only handle storms, but be able to silence them so we can move forward on a more productive path then ever before. In simple terms, you must hold yourself accountable in the process and rely on what we are teaching at Scout Trout in hopes of furthering your education through the sport of American football. Football has taught me mostly everything I know as it was my only profession that I stuck with up until I was almost 30 years old. But life has taught me so much more on what it takes to truly succeed through any storm directly in your individual path to success. This is what we all strive for and successful people, simply know they are successful for a reason and make sure not to deter from the path that they created for themselves. Competing at the highest level as a top football recruit should not be about beating another top recruit at this or that, rather about starting to develop your own unique process that will ultimately create a successful future on and off the field. Too many are caught up in this measurement or this combine testing result, instead of figuring out who the heck they are inside first and foremost. As I have said many times before, defining your own process can be one of the most difficult things to do in modern day American football, but those who can will continue to be the best our sport has to offer. SURVIVING A STORM FROM THE SO-CALLED "ELITIST" Once you learn after surviving a storm that things always start to come out brighter once the storm passes and those who were brave enough to do the right thing in the process from past experience shine bright. Being able to still compete at a high level can be tough when a storm enters to disrupt the process you defined for yourself. That being said, if the process you have created was built off doing the right things on and off the field, you will be able to overcome anything in your individual paths to success. The college football recruits we have located moving forward, not only demonstrate outstanding football ability, but character in their own unique processes that they are starting to define very clearly in the world of College Football Today. DIY PROJECTS If you are looking into DIY projects try building websites like www.CollegeFootballToday.org , mostly everything I wanted to do I did in 2018 on that platform. Proved a lot of people wrong and took a lot of crap most of the season, my ability to laugh at the hate mail and use it to keep going is what I believe got me through some of the more personal stuff that came in. When all the College Football Awards came out and the Top 25's were right mostly all of the 2018 college football season, the hate mail stopped completely. That is the day I didn't need to go back into Scout Trout Football because I had to, but because I wanted to help some of these phenomenal players start to define themselves to this vast platform we created for these student-athletes at Scout Trout Elite. THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD The quote "The Pen is mightier then the sword" is not only factual, but present in most aspects of life as a top college football recruit. You should be preparing now not only to dominate on the field, but in the classroom like most of our recruits at Scout Trout Elite have done already. We do not live in a world where battles are fought by swords, rather the pen and the more skills you can develop as a top football recruit, the more advanced you will be in all aspects of the game and life. Check out our database below by clicking on the button and see why I am so proud of what we have built together as family does. For four years we have operated and competed through many storms, adversity and we never deterred from our paths. We expect the same from our top football recruits as hundreds have no shown how nice this house really has become at Scout Trout Elite and College Football Today. THE GREATEST CFB COACH OF ALL TIMEOn 6/3/2018 Scout Trout had dubbed Coach Saban as the greatest CFB coach of All-Time.
COACH NICK SABANCoach Nick Saban's process began with years of learning from watching others and himself fail in societal respects. But because of his devout faith and character, Nick Saban was able to create a process that not many have succeeded in doing thus far and the proof is in his hardware. I do not jump on bandwagons, I study why things are the way they are, and Nick Saban is the epitome of what it takes to be successful in the world of college football today. Going forward, all athletes who aspire to be great should take a Saban like approach to the game and realize ALL of the gifts you are blessed with and take nothing for grant-it, as one day, you might wind up as the most revered man in the game.

Use the buttons below to access the Top 2023 Dual & Pro-Style QB recruit rankings and check back soon for the new 2023 Top 500+ football recruit rankings! 2023 TOP QUARTERBACK RECRUITSScout Trout Elite & ESPN Plus 2023 top quarterback recruits scouting notes from the April 9th & 10th release of the Top 2023 Pro-Style & Dual-Threat QB recruit rankings can be found below, as well as on College Football Today RokFin! I will have more news on Top 2023 QB recruits like the Massachusetts gunslinger William "Pop" Watson III after the conclusion of the 2023,, 2024, 2025 re-ranks & NFL Draft big board on College Football Today RokFin! Top 2023 QB recruit Dante Moore has now earned 22 D1 offers and had another brilliant season at the helm of the Martin Luther King offense in Detroit, Michigan. Moore was able to complete an astounding 70% of his passing attempts on the season (119-170) and accounted for a total of 30 touchdowns through the air. Dante proved to be the ultimate play-maker at the quarterback position and we got to see more of his dual-threat capabilities in his sophomore year highlight's. Dante's stellar decision making throughout his career on the gridiron of Michigan HS football has helped aid Martin Luther King HS to a 17 & 7 record. His ability to maneuver away from pressure and deliver accurate darts on the run, gives his receivers the ability to work themselves to the open part of the field. Moore's uncanny accuracy over the top of the defense is some of the best I have witnessed in the past five recruiting classes and Dante has earned the title of the number one 2023 QB recruit at College Football Now & ESPN Plus. Top 2023 QB recruit Dylan Lonergan helped lead Brockwood HS (GA) to an 8 & 3 record in his Sophomore Varsity campaign and was able to hurl the pigskin for 2,847 yards, while adding 20 TD's through the air and 5 TD's rushing. You will notice how well Lonergan is trained on the opening play of his 2020 highlight's, as he is able to very convincingly look off the defense and throw the football roughly 55 yards down the field, while leading his receiving target away from double-coverage for a touchdown. Dylan's posture in the pocket is able to help generate the next level velocity needed to excel as a big time collegiate gunslinger, as he does a masterful job at utilizing his core strength by whipping his torso in unison upon release of the football. The Georgia HS phenom also is very adept as a dual-threat QB and can get motoring downhill in a hurry, after making the proper reads on the defensive front. He is extremely proficient when throwing on the run to either side of the playing field and can step up in the face of pressure, while executing some of the best long balls I have witnessed globally in the 2023 football recruiting class. Top 2023 QB recruit Arch Manning had a historic breakout Freshmen season for Isidore Newman in New Orleans, Louisiana and has since earned 11 D1 offers from the likes of Alabama, Duke, Arkansas, FSU, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee & Texas. The young Manning prodigy has now thrown for over 4,000 yards and 53 touchdowns in his young career, while also adding an additional 8 touchdowns on the ground. Manning's overall passing numbers slightly dropped off in his Sophomore campaign, but he managed to increase his QB rating by completing roughly 72% of his passing attempts on the 2020 season. Isidore Newman also only played 8 games in 2020, opposed to the 10 games the young Manning got to torch the defenses of Louisiana in his Freshmen debut. All in all, high school statistics can be rather misleading for young QB's over the course of their four year HS football careers. Perfectly thrown passes may have slipped right through the intended receiving targets sweaty palms and directly into the defense-men's possession for an easy interception. A young QB not getting any help up front could lead to rushed decisions and tipped or batted balls, which also can lead to easily intercepted passes. Check out Top 2023 QB recruit Arch Manning's Sophomore season highlight's by clicking HERE, as he proves to be on track to be a more agile and efficient college QB than Uncle's Peyton & Eli Manning! Top 2023 QB recruit Malachi Nelson has earned 24 total FBS offers and impressed recruiters across the nation after last year's breakout Freshmen season performance on Varsity. He has helped lead Los Alamitos HS (CA) to a 5 & 0 record thus far into his Sophomore campaign and displays the elite arm talent needed to make all of the throws in a pass heavy college style offense. Check out Malachi's Mid-Season Cali HS Spring football highlight's by clicking HERE! 2023 QB Champ Long has eye-popping athletics for a 2023 dual threat quarterback recruit and has a very fluent delivery when operating in the pocket. He can go over the top of the defense with touch and precise timing, as well as unleash the ball on a rope. At around 1:19 into his 2019 varsity highlight's, Long threads the needled after using a subtle pump fake on the "fake screen wheel pass" and tosses a perfectly placed ball at only a place where his WR can make the touchdown reception. Champ has great footwork in the pocket and is able to create time, while directing his receivers open on the move. He throws the football extremely well on the run and has the ability to torch a defense with his dual-threat capabilities in the running game. UPDATE: Champ had a stellar Sophomore season at St.Peter's Prep and has earned offers from Temple, Old Dominion and Maryland to date. Long's overall fluidity in his throwing motion was extremely impressive in his Sophomore season highlight's at St.Peters Prep (NJ) and he has many intriguingly similar attributes to Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahommes. Champ is proving to be one of the most gifted passing Dual-Threat quarterbacks globally and his overall athletic skill-set at the QB position, will transition in a heavily productive fashion in the world of College Football Today. Top 2023 QB recruit Tayden Carpenter had yet another phenomenal season with the Ohio HS football powerhouse Ironton HS football team and his dual-threat capabilities helped lead the Fighting-Tigers of Southern Ohio to an 11 & 1 record during his Sophomore season campaign. Carpenter demonstrated the ability to operate many different college & pro style offensive schemes, at a high level and was able to light up the scoreboard 19 times through the air, while adding 4 more trips to the end-zone with his Tim Tebow downhill style of running. His innate ability to feel pressure and step up in the pocket to deliver bullets down the field is on full display in his 2020 season highlight's, which has recently spiked the interest of Pitt, Liberty, Wake Forest, Arizona State, Old Dominion and many more top CFB programs nationally. Carpenter and some of his teammates could potentially be the highest ranked recruits to come out of the talent rich State of Ohio, as Ironton is one of the best HS football programs at developing top tier talent for the world of College Football Today. Tayden also possesses a 4.3 GPA and will be the next D1 Scholar All-American Athlete for whoever is lucky enough to land his services come 2023 National Signing Day. Top 2023 QB recruit Trey Shearer has proven to have the elite arm talent and overall athletic capabilities to orchestrate a college style spread-option attack and/or a triple, veer or mid-line option offense at a high level. Trey can be witnessed driving the into very tightly knit windows of the defensive zone coverage in his new Spring highlight's, while proving to also be highly adept at distributing the football with very well timed touch passes when going over the top of the defense. He does a wonderful job at shifting the defense while coming out of play-action and is able to very accurately lead his receiving targets to the open part of the football field. If a play happens to breakdown, Shearer is not afraid to utilize his 4.6, 40 speed and get motoring up the field to create positive plays for Bandy's offense. Trey has caught the attention of many CFB recruiting nationally and they will be keeping a close eye on his progression leading into his JR season campaign in the talent rich State of North Carolina. Top 2023 QB recruit Brady Dever was able to sling the pigskin for over 2,000 yards during his Sophomore breakout season at Fort Bend Christian and was selected as a College Football Today & ESPN Plus 2023 HS All-American quarterback. Brady helped lead Fort Bend Christian Academy to a 8 & 3 record and finished his Sophomore campaign with 23 TD's through the air, while only throwing 4 interceptions on the 2020 Texas HS football season. I got to watch Brady's elite arm talent live in San Antonio, Texas and was extremely impressed with his overall delivery, arm strength and ability to knife the football into tightly knit windows of the defense in 7 on 7 drills. The weather at the 2021 All-American Bowl was treacherous football conditions during the "Texas Freeze", but Brady proved to have the overall grit and poise in the pocket, to run multiple college style offenses at a highly efficient level. Brady was just up at the Elite 11 Camp and has been steadily moving up collegiate football teams recruiting boards, as he if one of the most accurate timing passers in the 2023 football recruiting class. Check out Top 2023 QB recruit Brady Dever's phenomenal Sophomore season highlight's at Fort Bend Christian Academy by clicking HERE! Top 2023 QB recruit Austin Novosad is arguably one of the best rising 2023 quarterback coming out of the extremely talented State of Texas and has the elite arm talent needed to make all of the next level throws in the world of College Football Today. Austin is very adept at maneuvering himself away from pressure by stepping up in the pocket, while proving to able to toss darts with precision in the short to intermediate passing game. When executing college style comeback & deep route combinations, Novosad has impeccable timing with his receiving targets and is able to get the ball out of his hand early with his quick release. His receivers rarely have to break stride throughout his 2020 highlight's and he does a masterful job at throwing his receivers open to a spot away from defenders, while exhibiting uncanny accuracy in the process. In only 9 games at the helm of the Dripping Springs HS offense, Austin completed 162 out of 268 passing attempts and lit up the scoreboard for a total of 36 touchdowns. Top 2023 QB recruit Hunter Sheppard had incredible stats through only four games this season in South Carolina HS football and was able to complete 66% of his passing attempts, while accumulating nearly 800 yards through the air. Hunter is extremely accurate when throwing over the top of the defense and is able to hit his receivers in stride with impeccable timing, as well as extreme precision. He is able to utilize subtle pump fakes to shift the defense and exhibits excellent body weight transition when hurling darts on the run to his receiving targets. Sheppard has very little to no wasted motion in his snap delivery of the pigskin and proves to be well beyond his years when executing college style passes like the back shoulder fade concepts exhibited in his Sophomore season highlight's in the talent rich State of South Carolina. His ball placement into tight coverage is some of the best I have witnessed in the 2023 football recruiting class and he has peeked the interest of Coastal Carolina, Mercer, Princeton, Newberry & many more CFB recruiters nationally. Top 2023 QB recruit JP Hoak is an extremely athletic 2023 quarterback recruit, who is very impressive while throwing on the run and will rank highly on the Top 2023 QB recruit rankings on College Football Today RokFin. Hoak uses outstanding core whip when generating velocity on his darts down the field and has a compact throwing motion that will only develop as he moves through his high school football career in New York. He also proves to have dual-threat capabilities and his 4.5 speed, as well as agility will play a significant factor in his overall capabilities as a Top 2023 Quarterback recruit. JP Hoak will be a name to watch coming out of the Northeast region of the United States and has all of the tools to be a future 2023 All-American QB recruit in the world of College Football Today. Top 2023 QB recruit Parker Leise is one of the best rising 2023 quarterback recruits coming out of the Midwest and exhibits a stellar overall throwing motion, while rolling out to either side of the field or when hurling darts from the pocket. Leise orchestrates the read-option attack masterfully as he is able to read the opposing teams defensive tackle and pull the football quickly, while bursting through the B gap for valuable yardage. Parker demonstrates outstanding ball placement on his long ball and is able to put his receiving target in prime position to catch the football at it's highest point. He works well under center or in the shotgun and has very little to no wasted motion in his release, when distributing the football to his play-makers in the short passing game. I love the way he is able to lead his receiver open to a spot and how well he can knife the ball into tight passing windows of the defense. He proves to have the versatility to be highly effective in any offensive scheme used in the world of College Football Today and has recently relocated to Shawnee Mission HS in Prairie View, Kansas. Top 2023 QB recruit John Colvin is a very smooth operator when distributing the football to his play-makers at Mountain Brook HS in Birmingham, Alabama and has excellent footwork when setting up in the pocket. Viotto also demonstrates great footwork in the pocket, along with a very quick release and also proves to be able to go over the top of the defense with the long ball. He is very good at throwing on the run and shows the ability to make touch passes over the top of the defense in his 2023 highlight's. Top 2023 Dual-Threat QB Jack Grusser is capable of taking over a football game with his precise passing and possesses outstanding dual-threat attributes, that will be highly coveted in the world of College Football Today. Jack plays at the New Jersey HS powerhouse Bergen Catholic and tossed 19 TD's, while only throwing one interception on the 2019 season. He led arguably the best Freshmen team in the Nation to a 10-0 record and was normally rested during the 2nd half of Bergen's blowout victories. Grusser added 8 rushing TD's on the ground, while being able to square his shoulders and deliver bullets on the run. I really like the way he throws over the top of the defense and the timing he exhibits on his touch passes. Jack exhibits impeccable control on the fade route at around 1 minute into his 2019 highlight's, as he throws a perfect touch pass to the corner of the end-zone in perfect location. Top 2023 Dual QB recruit Craig Rubino is a tremendous athlete at the quarterback position and shows flashes of brilliance in his 2019 freshmen season highlight's. Rubino is very keen in avoiding pass rushers and creating huge chunks of yardage with his dual-threat capabilities, while also showing the ability to rip darts downfield. At around 1:27 into Craig's highlight's, he proves to be able to thread the needle into tight coverage downfield and his bedazzling dual-threat capabilities will be extremely fun to watch the next two years. Top 2023 QB recruit Jacob Vaughan had a brilliant Freshmen season for Marcus Flower Mound HS and is emerging as one of the elite passers coming out of the great football State of Texas. Jacob is a very athletic 2023 QB recruit, who demonstrates a very quick release and is extremely accurate in the short to intermediate passing game. Jacob also is able to push the ball down the field with great overall velocity, as well as precision and has dual-threat capabilities when escaping pressure in the pocket. In his most recent 7 on 7 workout on Twitter, Vaughan is described as surgical in the pocket and he was certainly a marksman during his Sophomore campaign at Flower Mound HS (TX). Click HERE to watch Jacob surgically pick apart the opposing defenses in his 2020 Texas HS football highlight's! Top 2023 QB recruit Cole Matsuda looks like a young Kyler Murray distributing the football from the pocket for Legacy HS football. This young Texas football prodigy can deliver dimes over the top of the defense and is able to place the football where only his receiver can make a play. Matsuda has very good overall throwing mechanics and exhibits a quick release when getting the pigskin into his play-makers possession. He shows some skedaddle skills at around 2 minutes into his 2019 highlight's, as he is able to field a bad snap and escape a collapsing pocket for positive yardage. On the very next play, he once again shows outstanding athletics when bedazzling the defense in-route to a touchdown. He is very adept at throwing on the run, as well as dealing really bad snaps throughout his highlight's and still manages to make the magic happen for the Legacy offense. UPDATE: Cole recently transferred to Texas HS football powerhouse Nolan Catholic HS. Top 2023 QB recruit Dante Torres is a rising Sophomore QB, who has the ability to push the ball down field over the top of the defense with great precision and is very technically sound in his overall mechanics. Torres is very effective while throwing on the move and is able to drop the football into perfect positioning for his receivers to make a play, while also exhibiting stellar dual-threat capabilities on the ground. He has a very long stride and is a natural runner in the open field, as he is able to orchestrate the spread option attack to perfection and honestly reminds me of a young Colin Kaepernick with his exuberant style of play. Click here to watch Top 2023 QB recruit Dante Torres in action on YouTube! Top 2023 Dual-Threat Quarterback Jaylen Patterson is well on his way in becoming the next elite QB recruit in the world of College Football Today & had over 1800 yards in his freshmen campaign. Combs had a extremely impressive completion percentage, as he was able to complete 120 passes out of 190 attempts and accounted for 1,876 through the air. Cameron accounted for 23 total touchdowns and bedazzled opponents with his well timed precision in the passing game. He is not afraid to step up in the face of pressure and deliver strikes downfield, while losing little to no velocity on his throw. I attribute this to his overall core strength and the torque he is able to create by whipping the football downfield with his entire body. UPDATE: Combs recently earned an offer from Eastern Kentucky after another highly successful season on the gridiron of Kentucky HS football. Cameron performed in clutch situations all season long for the Redhounds of Kentucky HS football and his elite arm talent can visibly be recognized on the opening play of his Sophomore season highlight's. He delivers the football very well both on the move and from inside the pocket, as he is able to drop the ball over the defense with incredible touch and precision. Top 2023 QB recruit Jackson Gilkey broke onto the scene in Texas HS football his freshmen year and had a phenomenal debut at the helm of Ennis High football. Gilkey lacks nothing as far as next level potential is concerned at the quarterback position and had an outstanding initial S.T.E.P rating for a top 2023 QB recruit. Jackson will be looking to build off of the momentum from the 2019 season and become a highly regarded top 2023 rising QB recruit at College Football Today. When evaluating tape, Jackson has very solid footwork in the pocket and is able to throw his receivers open with impeccable ball placement. His dual-threat capabilities are sure to set him apart in one of the most talented classes of QB recruits we have encountered in the past five years at Scout Trout Elite & College Football Today. Many of Van's deep attempts downfield would have been hauled in by older receiving targets and he is highly adept at throwing on the run, while rolling to the right or left side of the playing field. With the solid foundation that Weber has established moving into his sophomore season, he appears primed to light up the scoreboard this coming season in the talent rich State of Florida. CFB BOWL GAMES TODAYThere are not many CFB Bowl games today on Christmas Eve, but Coach Dana Holgorsen and the Houston Cougars will be traveling to Albuquerque to take on the Hawaii Warriors in the New Mexico Bowl, which is slated to kickoff at 2:30pm on ESPN. The Coogs 3 & 4 record can be rather misleading, as two of their losses came to top 25 opponents BYU & Cincinnati, who both could finish the season in the top 10 in the College Football Today & ESPN Plus Top 25 rankings and after a dismal first season with Houston, Coach Holgorsen has the Coogs in a Christmas Eve bowl game. After the departure of run & shoot guru Coach Nick Rolovich to the Washington State Cougars, the Hawaii offense has not been nearly as potent as in years past and their once prolific offensive production has dropped off substantially in 2020. They were held to 10 points or under twice this season and did not score more than 40 points all season long. They were only able to score 10 points against the new home of Top 2021 San Diego State commit Collyn Hopkins and the Aztecs have landed what I believe will be a draft-able NFL punting prospect down the road. They also were completely shutdown offensively against the architect of the juggernaut NDSU Bison football program Coach Bohl and only were able to score 7 points against the Cowboys of Wyoming. The Coogs defense should be up to the challenge and it will be interesting to see if Hawaii can get back to their historically high octane offensive production heading into the 2021 college football season. On the flip side, Coach Holgorsen appears to be building a contender in the American Athletic Conference and looks to cap off his first .500 or above season as the Head Coach of the Houston Cougars football program. Both Hawaii & Houston are looking to build momentum heading into next season and it all starts in Albuquerque, New Mexico today at 2:30pm on ESPN. 2020 CFB BOWL SCHEDULEThe 2020 CFB bowl schedule kicked off with the Nevada Wolfpack defeating the Tulane Green Wave in the Idaho Potato bowl and the Cougars of BYU winning in very convincing fashion over the UCF Knights in what was dubbed "The Beat down in Boca 2020", as Top 2021 NFL Draft QB Zach Wilson and the Cougars were able to pounce on the Knights, while keeping their foot on the gas for four straight quarters offensively. In yesterday's CFB bowl action, The Memphis Tigers ended their season with a 25 to 10 victory over the FAU Owls in the Montgomery Bowl and finished the season with an 8 & 3 record, as they look like contenders to hoist the AAC Championship Trophy once again in 2021. The Georgia Southern Eagles went down to the New Orleans bowl and were able to obliterate a very talented Louisiana Tech team 38 to 3, while also securing a commitment from 2020 All-American Bowl Kicker Britton Williams. After evaluating Williams in person, he is another Top 2021 Specialist recruit I will be keeping an eye on for future NFL Draft's. CFB PLAYOFF RANKINGS RELEASEThe first CFB Playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday November 24th, 2020 by the CFB Playoff committee and I expect the top four teams to be Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Clemson. I still believe that Texas A&M should be in the fourth slot, as they were able to defeat the 6th ranked Gators and their only loss has come to now the consensus number one team in the nation, the Alabama Crimson-Tide. The Aggies have won four games in a row in the brutal SEC conference, but sadly will not get a shot at the SEC crown and are one of the hottest teams in the nation. The Tigers also rightfully deserve the spot as their only loss came to the number two nationally ranked Notre Dame Fighting-Irish, while not having the leader of their offensive arsenal Trevor Lawrence. With the Tigers only top 25 win coming over the 12th ranked Miami Hurricanes and Texas A&M's coming against the 6th ranked Florida Gators, I only feel it is justifiable to leave them at number four in the College Football Today & ESPN Plus FBS Top 25. This is why many are in favor of a newly revised College Football Playoff system, that would feature 8 to 11 deserving teams like we currently have during this tumultuous 2020 CFB season. COLLEGE FB PLAYOFF RANKINGSIn the first College FB playoff rankings, I believe the Bearcats and BYU both will be ranked ahead of the Gators and possibly even Texas A&M. The CFB playoff committee simply values having an undefeated record and it holds weight with former CFB All-American's like Ronnie Lott and John Urschel. Also, the former Head Coaches on the selection committee like former Texas A&M Head Coach R.C Slocum and Ken Hatfield, also know how hard it is to be a consistent winner throughout the course of a college football season. This is why we could see the likes of the Aggies and Gators drop from their standings in the College Football Today & ESPN Plus Top 25, as well as the AP & Coaches Top 25 polls. With all of that being said, strength of schedule is also a deciding factor and the Aggies and Gators both have each won one game against a current Top 25 opponent, while playing in one of the toughest conferences from top to bottom. The only slight difference happens to be, the Aggies won head to head in College Station and out of all the one loss teams, both the Gators and Aggies have the best resume's to present at this juncture of the college football season. The Bearcats longevity of being a dominant team and boasting a 29-5 record the last three seasons, also will hold weight with the CFB Playoff committee and it will be highly intriguing how this first CFB Playoff rankings release pans out come Tuesday, November 24th. 2021 CFP TOP 25 RANKINGSThe College Football Today 2021 CFP top 25 rankings will be released after week four of the 2021-2022 college football season. When the CFP top 25 rankings are released, I believe we will see the top 8 teams listed below and 4 through 8 could be in any given order. With College Football Today 14th ranked Northwestern beating Top 25 Wisconsin and moving to 5-0 on the season, I believe they could potentially climb into the top 10 of the 2020 CFP top 25 rankings and leap frog Miami, Oregon and Georgia. Indiana will not drop too far in any top 25 rankings, due to the fact they gave the 3rd ranked Buckeyes all they could handle in the Horseshoe in Columbus, Ohio. Given tonight's game's have not ended yet, we will post the remaining 2020 CFP top 25 ranking projections after all games have concluded. The Coach Whittingham led Utah Utes are a team that is highly talented and are facing off currently against Top 25 opponent the USC Trojans. Top 25 ranked Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are starting the 2nd half of Bedlam and top 25 Liberty, as well as Auburn are still slugging it out in week 13 of the college football season. 1. Alabama 2. Notre Dame 3. Ohio State 4. Clemson 5. Texas A&M 6. Cincinnati 7. Florida 8. BYU 9. Miami 10. Northwestern 11. Oregon 12. Indiana 13. Coastal Carolina 14. Oklahoma 15. Iowa State 16. Georgia 17. USC (if they beat Utah) 18. Marshall 19. Texas 20. Washington 21. Auburn 22. Louisiana 23. Tulsa 24. Wisconsin 25. North Carolina or Colorado CFP RANKINGS FORMULAIf your lost on who you should rank where, just create a CFP rankings formula that is used by College Football Today & ESPN+ to properly rank the exact same Top 25 as the AP poll last week. This week, 24 out of 25 teams were both in the AP & CFB Today 25. The only slight difference, is North Carolina entered the AP Top 25 and the Washington Huskies entered the CFB Today Top 25. I am not sure what methodology they use, but here is how we rank the top 25 CFB teams. You can read how this methodology and formula came to fruition in my last article on College Football Today by clicking HERE! "In sports and in life, there are many things that will appear like you can't win on paper or by the public opinion. That's when you must think outside the box and outflank them by using strategies that have never historically been used in the past. Once you confuse them enough, you have them pinned in a corner exactly where you want them and can deploy weapons of mass confusion that are 100% fact based. The keys to beating an opponent that is much stronger on paper, only come from a high level of strategy, thinking and a persistent effort to learn new tactics that can fully expose your opposition. Once they understand your full strategy, you must always add to your equation/formula and stay ahead of their stagnant ways of thinking." Coach Merf Trout (R)+(QW)+(SOS)+(HTH)+(ET)+(PF)+(PA) = CFP TOP 25 RANK (R) = Record This is one is pretty simple, equate how many games were won or lost to the remainder of the algorithm below. (QW) = Quality Wins Judging by top 25 teams defeated and how much team won by. This is also done by tallying up the wins and losses of opponents defeated, as well as opponents lost to. For example, USC's quality win over formerly ranked preseason top 25 opponent Utah moved them up substantially in the CFB Today Top 25 poll this week. Oregon had a mid-quality victory over UCLA, but only won by 3 points. A win is a win, unless your ranking the Top 25 correctly. (SOS) = Strength of Schedule Comparing strength of schedule can be easily accomplished by how many teams are in the top 25 that team plays and by looking at teams opponents schedule and their wins & losses. If things are real tight, you can even go look deeper and look at the opponent or the opponents match-ups and study their strength of schedule. As you will see below, parts of the above algorithm can be wiped out by (ET) and (HTH). (HTH) = Head To Head If you have teams that have competed head to head with the same record and both have the same sum total of the above, you must account for head to head match-ups to break the tie. If the head to head match-up happens to exist at the top of the rankings, you must add points by using the week to week eye test. Last time I checked, football is a game that normally is won between the white lines. There just happens to be a million variables in a daily week in college or pro football, that can drastically change the outcome of a team's performance. These variable have to be accounted for in this formula. (ET) = Eye Test When it all boils down to indecisiveness in the formula, you must go by what you visibly see out top 25 teams week to week. For example, a team like the Oklahoma Sooners who has woken up from their early season slumbers and the Longhorns, who are on a collision course with another top 25 team in the Big 12 Iowa State this weekend. The Cyclones look like a totally different ball team from early on in the 2020 college football season and so does Texas. If you still at a dead lock, use the two easily calculated measures below (PF) & (PA), which can often be misleading, but if you went through all of the above, you are left with no other options. (PF) = Points For - How many points total college football team scored throughout the season. (PA) = Points Allowed - How many points has college football team allowed throughout the season. CFB PLAYOFF 8 TEAM BRACKET Over two years ago, we introduced our CFB playoff 8 team bracket and how it would look if it were to come to fruition. It is obvious this season that it could be easily justified when looking at all of the top 25 polls and where teams stand. Let's first look at how the 1st round would take place in the power five conference championship. We also added a new formula in case we wind up with 3 teams from one conference ranked in the top eight, along with a group of five play in game. If this scenario presents itself, like is has in the 2020 CFB season. Also, given the fact that it is extremely difficult to judge the power rankings of each individual conference this season, due to many teams only playing in conference schedules this seems pretty legit. The teams below obviously could change throughout the remainder of the 2020 CFB season, but this is where they stand right now and many will be climbing the polls as we finish up the season. In our CFB 8-Team playoff formula, the winners of each power five conference championship get automatic bids into the 8 team CFB playoff formula. So we are just going to go with the highest ranked teams at this point to show the 8 team CFB playoff model. SEC Championship#1 Alabama vs #6 Florida BIG TEN Championship#3 Ohio State vs #9 Northwestern ACC Championship#2 Notre Dame vs #5 Clemson PAC 12 Champioship#11 USC vs #13 Oregon BIG 12 Championship#14 Oklahoma vs #19 Iowa State 8 TEAM CFP RANKINGS FORMULAIn our 8 team CFP rankings formula, normally the remaining top 3 teams ranked in the the Top 25 would get a bid, but with Texas A&M being ranked higher than Florida, we would have three teams from the SEC in this 8 team playoff format. Below you will find the fully justified and fair solution to coming up with the 8 teams that would play for the National Championship. Depending on the outcome of the 1st round conference championship playoff game, the losers could inevitably fall out of the top 8, which makes room for another first round game between BYU and Cincinnati. 1. Alabama/Florida 2. Notre Dame/Clemson 3. Ohio State/Northwestern 4. Texas A&M/Florida 5. Clemson/Notre Dame ?6. USC, Oregon or Washington 7. Oklahoma, Iowa State or Texas 8. BYU vs Cincinnati 8th Seen - (G5 Playoff or 1st RD play-in game, read more below) Of course, there are many other scenerios that could play out and Clemson could beat Notre Dame, Florida could upset Alabama and so on. Let's look at how this would pan out in the 8 team CFB playoff bracket below by taking the currently higher ranked Top 25 teams. #1 Alabama vs #8 BYU or Cincinnati #2 Notre Dame vs #7 Oklahoma #3 Ohio State vs #6USC #4 Texas A&M vs #5 Clemson COLLEGE FB PLAYOFFI actually even came up with an even more justified college FB playoff system, that will would have six team playoff between the group of five programs and include the highest ranked independent team. The winner of the group of five college FB playoff would be granted the 8th remaining spot in this model of the college FB playoff. Given the parity we have seen this season between power five teams and group of five teams, I believe this model would be the best of the inclusion of all deserving teams to battle it out for the right to play for the College Football National Championship. Let's take a glance of how the group of five playoff would commence at this point in the college football season and the teams that would be battling it out for the 8th seed in the above college football playoff 8 team bracket. MAC Conference Championship Kent State/Buffalo vs Western Michigan Sun Belt Championship #16 Coastal Carolina vs #24 Lousiana Mountain West Championship Nevada vs San Jose St/Boise St American Athletic Conference #7 Cincinnati vs #25 Tulsa/SMU Conference USA #17 Marshall/FAU vs UTSA Independent 1st RD Playoff #8 BYU vs Liberty or Army CFB GROUP OF 5 PLAYOFF Taking the highest ranked teams or just by guessing at this point in the season, as teams in the MAC have only played three games thus far, here is how the group of five playoff seeding would look currently. The two highest ranked conference winners would receive 1st round byes. 1st RD byes - #1 Cincinnati & #2 BYU 1st RD Match-Ups #3 Coastal Carolina vs #6 Nevada/San Jose St or Boise St #4 Marshall vs Kent St/Buffalo or Westnern Michigan 2nd RD Match-Ups (hypothetical) ?#1 Cincinnati vs #4 Marshall (lowest ranked winner in 1st RD) #2 BYU vs #3 Coastal Carolina The winners of the semi-finals would go onto to play in the group of five championship and the right to the final seed in the 8 Team CFB Playoff.
