Original scouting notes - Top 2027 QB recruit Buck Randall is well beyond his years athletically as he is capable of generating the transitional torque needed to whip the pigskin down the field effortlessly with outstanding overall velocity & precision. Randall is capable of making difficult throws across his body with his tremendous overall throwing motion that is able to generate the power to knife the ball through the heart of the opposing defense, while exhibiting excellent ball placement in the short to intermediate passing game. When it comes to short synaptic passing attempts that are made off very awkward platforms while under duress, there are not many at this juncture in the American football recruiting process that can deliver what many call “Dilfer Dimes” on a consistent basis. When evaluating proper ball placement on college style intermediate timing routes, I am thoroughly impressed with Randall’s ability to lead his receiver away from the defensive secondary and into the open part of the playing field while giving his receiving target the utmost advantage to flip up the field instantaneously for massive chunks of yardage.
